Rarefazione

Rarefazione plays on paradox: the accumulation of signs leads to the negation of the image.

Rarefazione is a work on memory and oblivion: through the obsessive accumulation of signs on a single plate, the original image is suffocated and erased. The installation suggests a loss of consistency of form, which vanishes under the weight of the engraved material.
